Materials Needed
- Cotton yarn (Sport or DK weight) in Gray and White
- Small amount of pink yarn for the nose
- 2.5 mm crochet hook (or size needed for tight tension)
- 8mm safety eyes
- Toy stuffing (polyfill)
- Stitch marker
Important Amigurumi Tips
- Tension is key! You want your stitches to be tight enough that the stuffing doesn’t show through.
- Always use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of every round.
- Stuff firmly, but don’t overstuff to the point where the stitches stretch out.
The Head (Use Gray Yarn)
- Round 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)
- Round 3: [1 sc, inc] 6 times (18)
- Round 4: [2 sc, inc] 6 times (24)
- Rounds 5-10: sc in each st around (24)
(Note: Place safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, about 4 stitches apart.)
- Round 11: [2 sc, dec] 6 times (18)
- Round 12: [1 sc, dec] 6 times (12)
Stuff the head firmly before finishing the next round.
- Round 13: dec 6 times (6)
Fasten off and weave in the end.
